License server service starts then immediately stops (no error in the license server log /nsr/lic/logs/lgtolmd.log), daemon log shows: nsrlmc NSR notice CLP/ELMS server for basic license information found the following: 'Can't establish connection to the license server. Flexlm error -15'. Cannot telnet to license server on port 27000 or 27001.
The license was set to use port 27000 however, the license server itself uses this port.
Edit the license file (typically dpa.lic) to change the line: ENDOR EMCLM PORT=27000 To VENDOR EMCLM PORT=27001 Start the license server again. It should now stay running and be possible to telnet to it on port 27000 and 27001. Check whether NetWorker can now communicate with it. If not, check the port defined in NetWorker as described in KB 520763: NetWorker Alert: 'Can't establish connection to the license server. Flexlm error -15'
