np-f port uplinks are configured in a port channel between UCS FI and a Connectrix MDS 9000 series switch. Symptom 4: The UCS FI interfaces enter a bit error disabled state. The status may also show as InvalidCFG or a similar value. Symptom 5: The global trunking protocol feature is disabled on the Connectrix MDS switch under the command: show trunk protocol show trunk protocol Trunk Protocol is disabled
The trunk protocol is disabled on the Connectrix MDS switch.
Procedure: Enable the trunking protocol. Run the following commands: config trunk protocol enable end copy r s Verify that the trunk protocol is enabled. Run the following command: show trunk protocol Configure the port channels.
