The following warning message is seen in the NetWorker Management Console (NMC) and the NetWorker server daemon.raw: Linux: /nsr/logs/daemon.raw Windows (Default): C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\logs\daemon.raw NetWorker: How to use nsr_render_log to render .raw log files CLP/ELMS server for basic license information found the following: 'Can't establish connection to the license server. Flexlm error -15'. Please check the network communication between NetWorker Server and License Server. Make sure the license server daemon is running. Or be sure the license files on both hosts have the same port number.
This error means that the NetWorker Server is unable to detect the license server daemon/service, due to a configuration issue or a network communication issue. 1. Check which License port the NetWorker Server is using: a. Stop the NetWorker server service: Linux: nsr_shutdown Windows: net stop nsrd b. Make a copy of the resource database folder. Linux: /nsr/res/nsrdb Windows (Default): C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\res\nsrdb 2. Using nsradmin in offline mode, check the CLP License server port used by the NetWorker server: Linux: nsradmin -d /nsr/res/nsrdb Windows: nsradmin -d "C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\res\nsrdb" a.
