Something changed in the network, unrelated to InsightIQ or OneFS. While monitoring a OneFS cluster, InsightIQ halts monitoring with the following error: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:1419: error:1408F119:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:Decryption failed or bad record mac When this error happens, the Status page of InsightIQ will look similar to this:
InsightIQ collects data from OneFS via HTTPS, which uses TLS to encrypt the data over the network. Part of that encryption is use of a Message Authentication Code (MAC) , which is how TLS ensures that the data hasn't been tampered with. The error noted in this KB means the data could not be decrypted correctly, or the MAC is incorrect.
Immediately contact your network security team and alert them of the situation. Once they have verified and resolved the situation, restart InsightIQ with the following command: $ sudo service insightiq restart Note : Refer to Isilon InsightIQ User Guide for more information related to InsightIQ monitoring and reports
