Cause

SNMP daemon got terminated due to de-referencing a NULL pointer.If any error is detected on a received SNMP message, then the corresponding error counter would be incrementing.Before doing that, there is a piece of code that would extract the user name form the message.In case of the no user name available and is NULL the code which extracts the username will de-reference to NULL (without checking if the username is present or not) and the daemon terminates.Brocade DEFECT000623500

Resolution

Fix: DISRUPTIVE action is needed before the fix can be put in place, and plan a maintenance window accordingly !The Active CP needs to be rebooted to bring the CP s back in sync.Upgrade to Fabric OS 8.1.0 Note there is a CVR available for Fabric OS 7.4.1d, if needed contact DELL EMC support for RPQ and CVR v7.4.1d_cvr_brcd_594259_02Workaround:DISPRUPTIVE workaround. plan a maintenance window accordingly !The Active CP needs to be rebooted to bring the CP s back in syncBrocade DEFECT000623500
