License Provisioning by vCenter The error ' The license capacity is insufficient ' appears, while trying to assign a license to a VxRail ESXi node in vCenter.
VxRail node has two CPUs while vSphere license is for one CPU only. This issue is seen when the customer obtained vSphere licenses by Dell and received License Certificates from Dell with several keys (number of keys = number of CPUs on a node) for each VxRail node.
Combine vSphere licenses as described in the following VMware article - Merge VMware License keys in Broadcom support portal ( External Link ) Combine licenses by the CPU quantity on each node.
