Why does the Peripheral Component Interconnect express (PCIe) add-in Non-Volatile Memory express (NVMe) card with a Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) standard license key not show as supported on X Series Precision Towers? Affected systems X820 Precision Tower fixed workstations using the entry-level Intel Core X Series processor
No cause information
Note: Precision Tower's using the X Series Processor do not support RAID. If we say, for example, you have purchased a T5820/T7820 X Series system with a PCIe SSD card installed along with 4 M.2 PCIe NVMe Class 40 SSDs. Then you have bought the VROC license and tried to enable RAID. The disks show up in the BIOS as No RAID Volumes on the system. In the Intel Virtual RAID on CPU page of the BIOS, it reports the status as Unsupported. Note: These systems are working as designed with the hardware components installed.
