You may notice that certain sounds do not play through the system speakers or headsets. This typically occurs with short audio files (for example, alert tones or notification sounds.) Even though the system shows that audio is playing, no sound is heard when the audio length is less than 100 milliseconds. This happens due to a known limitation in how the AMD audio platform handles short audio playback durations.
This is an industry-known limitation on systems using Strix or newer AMD chipsets, and no permanent solution is currently available. Workaround Play the WAV audio file using a legacy media player. Back to Top
