The computer battery of some Dell computers may drain significantly or become depleted overnight. The issue occurs when the computer is in sleep mode and connected to a Dell DA225 USB‑C Travel Hub with devices attached. Battery drain does not occur when the Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 is disconnected during sleep mode. Background USB activity can prevent the computer from fully entering a low‑power sleep state when connected to a Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 with certain USB peripherals attached. This may result in increased power consumption and faster‑than‑normal battery drain during sleep. This behavior is not indicative of a computer hardware failure or battery failure.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.Connect the AC adapter. Updating the Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 to version 00.01.04.05 or later resolves the issue. The Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 does not use a separate or manually installed firmware package. Instead, firmware updates are automatically applied through Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM) when the device is connected. If DDPM does not prompt for an update, the Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 is already running the latest firmware and no further action is required. To ensure that the Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 has the firmware update installed: Go to Support for Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 Drivers & Downloads.Download and install Dell Display and Peripheral Manager.Connect the Dell Pro 4-in-1 USB-C Travel Hub DA225 and launch DDPM to allow any available updates to install.
