On Dell Pro Max with GB10 FCM1253 that is not equipped with Wi-Fi hardware, the Wi-Fi option may be displayed in the BIOS setup menu. This does not indicate that the computer has wireless networking capability. Affected Platform: Dell Pro Max with GB10 FCM1253
The system BIOS does not include a hardware detection pin mechanism to dynamically determine whether wireless hardware is physically installed. As a result, the BIOS is unable to conditionally hide or display the Wi-Fi setup menu option based on the computer's wireless hardware configuration.
This is a known cosmetic limitation within the BIOS and does not affect the computer's functionality in any way. Computers that are configured without Wi-Fi hardware do not support wireless networking, regardless of the Wi-Fi option being visible in the BIOS setup menu.
