After the Dell logo disappears when powering the computer on from shutdown or hibernation, only the keyboard backlight turns on. The screen of the Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14255 displays a gray backlight. The computer can boot Windows, but the screen of the computer does not recover unless the computer enters sleep mode and then wakes from sleep mode. If external monitors are connected, they work as expected. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14255

Long-term Solution: Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery . Connect the AC adapter. Updating the AMD Radeon 740M/760M/780M/840M/860M/890M Graphics Driver and AMD Radeon Software Application to version 32.0.22032.14003, A08 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the driver, refer to the Driver Update Guide . Workaround: Enter and wake from sleep mode using one of the following three methods: Close the lid, then open it again. Press the power button, then tap the keyboard or press the power button again. Let the computer idle for 3 minutes, then tap the keyboard.
