Fan on a Dell Pro Max Premium laptop may stop spinning or report ePSA error code 2000-0501 under high ambient temperature conditions. System overheating symptom may also occur when heavy loading or in a high-temperature environment. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro Max 14 Premium MA14250Dell Pro Max 16 Premium MA16250

Cause

Under high ambient temperature conditions, the Resistor-Capacitor (RC) value may drop to an undefined level. As a result, the fan may stop operating properly, which can lead to overheating symptoms or ePSA error code 2000-0501.

Resolution

Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.Connect the AC adapter.
