Fan on a Dell Pro Max Premium laptop may stop spinning or report ePSA error code 2000-0501 under high ambient temperature conditions. System overheating symptom may also occur when heavy loading or in a high-temperature environment. Affected Platforms: Dell Pro Max 14 Premium MA14250Dell Pro Max 16 Premium MA16250
Under high ambient temperature conditions, the Resistor-Capacitor (RC) value may drop to an undefined level. As a result, the fan may stop operating properly, which can lead to overheating symptoms or ePSA error code 2000-0501.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery.Connect the AC adapter. Updating the BIOS to version 1.8.1 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the BIOS Update Guide.
