Workaround: Recovery methods per symptom: Symptom 1: Lowering the screen resolution to 2K allows for normal output. The HDMI cable connects to the laptop and outputs normally. Symptom 2: Lowering the screen resolution to 2k allows for normal output. Unplugging and replugging the dock cable, both screens can output simultaneously. Symptom 3: After unplugging and replugging the display connector, the display returned to normal Symptom 4: The second monitor connects to the laptop and outputs normally. Long-Term Solution: The solution is in Ubuntu Kernel v6.17, which is scheduled for release in February 2026.
