No video issue may be seen on an external monitor in the following condition: Plug two monitors to a dock, one connected to Thunderbolt port, the other one to DP port. Connect the dock to a Windows computer. The monitor displays with no issues. Switch the dock input to a MacBook computer. No video issue is seen on the DP display. The mode mismatch with Multi-Stream Transport (MST) and Single Stream Transport (SST9) is the cause.
Note: Before starting the update, perform the following: Back up all personal data. For more information, refer to Back Up and Recovery . Connect the AC adapter if updates are being run on a laptop. Ensure that power remains connected if updates are being run on a desktop. Updating the Dell Dock Firmware Update Utility to version 01.01.10.01 or later resolves the issue.
