Firmware version displayed in HII , iDRAC firmware inventory, iDRAC hardware inventory, and Network Devices do not match. iDRAC may repeatedly prompt for a firmware update even after the update has been successfully applied.
Mellanox firmware DUPs use NVIDIA’s version format (xx.xx.xxxx), while the UEFI driver continues to use Dell’s legacy format (xx.xx.xx.xx). NVIDIA no longer updates the UEFI driver for ConnectX‑5 or ConnectX‑6, resulting in persistent format discrepancies.
This behavior is expected and cannot be resolved due to the discontinuation of UEFI driver updates. For accurate verification, refer to the Firmware Image Properties displayed in the HII menu. Example: A ConnectX-6 card updated with firmware DUP version 26.47.1088 will show: NVIDIA format in HII firmware inventory: 26.47.1088 Dell format in Firmware Image Properties: 26.47.10.88
