Though the devices in question are not part of asynchronous replication, the error indicates consistency. This is because the protection group contained devices that are part of multiple RDF groups, and the devices were not grouped.
There are two options: Add all devices to one RDF group.Group all devices (from multiple RDF groups) in a composite group. If the protection group contains devices from multiple RDF groups, then all the devices must be grouped in a composite group. The recommendation and best practice is to have devices from one RDF group in one protection group.
