VxVerify output shows No IPv6 on management VMK, but IPv6 is enabled in ESXi.In the vxv.log for VMK2, any VMkernel adapter IPv6 is not detected:
Example:VMK2 was not tagged with any port group which means the assigned port for VMK2 has a conflict port and is marked as invalid, hence c-xx is seen in Port group section:
Note: Before proceeding, ensure access to the ESXi shell and iDRAC Console. Create a temporary switch to migrate VMK2 and then migrate it back to the vDS. Put Host in Maintenance Mode Right-click host → Enter Maintenance Mode → Select Ensure Accessibility. Remove Standby Uplink from vDS Networking → vDS → Edit Settings → Remove vmnic2 from standby list. Host → Configure → Networking → Virtual Switches → vDS→ Manage Physical Adapters → Remove vmnic2. Create Temporary Standard Switch Host → Networking → Virtual Switches → Add Standard Switch. Name: vSwitch-temp, add vmnic2 as uplink → Add Create Port Group and Migrate vmk2 to Standard Switch Create a Port Group (for example, Temp-PG) on vSwitch-temp. Host → Configure → Networking → Virtual Switches → Select vSwitch-temp. Migrate VMkernel Adapter → Select vmk2 → Assign to Temp-PG → Finish. Migrate vmk2 back to vDS Host → Configure → Networking → Virtual Switches → Select DVS. Migrate Network Adapters → Select vmk2 → Assign to DVS Port Group → Finish. Remove Uplink from Standard Switch Host → Networking → Virtual Switches → Select vSwitch-temp Edit Settings → Remove vmnic2 → Save Reassign the vmnic Back to vDS Host → Configure → Networking → Virtual Switches → vDS → Manage Physical Adapters. Add Adapter → Select vmnic2 → Assign as Active/Standby → OK. Delete Temporary Standard Switch Ensure no VMkernel NICs/VMs on vSwitch-temp → Remove Exit Maintenance Mode Right-click host → Exit Maintenance Mode Verify the configuration: Rerun VxVerify
