PSOD happens on PowerEdge XE7740 with ESXI8.0 U3, after moving NVMe drive to empty slots. This was observed with current and all the previous versions of BIOS. This only happens with ESXI8.0 U3. PSOD example as below: The "PCI Express Upstream Switch Port" is the upstream switch port that connected to the NVMe drives. Fatal error from 0000:64:00.0 (PCI Express Upstream Switch Port)
The Max Payload Size (MPS) setting is incorrect on some of the Broadcom switch upstream ports.
The next version of BIOS which is planned to be released in December 2025 will fix the issue.
