After the first successful recovery check with Cyber Recovery 19.20.0.1-31 and PowerProtect Data Manager 19.20.0.18, the subsequent recovery checks fail with error: Failed to run task recoverapp phase2 The same message is found in the /opt/dellemc/cr/var/log/apps/apps.log: [2025-08-19 09:20:44.252] [ERROR] [apps] [jobs.go:540 Log()] : [JobID: 68a420f055d4eaf16b72078d JobName: recoverycheck_062AAB Task: recoverapp phase2] Production data target with Id: 203809e1-1baf-4c8b-8e85-50ceee81034c should not exist as it has been previously replaced: CR-ppdm-policy
This is a known issue in Cyber Recovery where the AppRecoveryData process was not being cleaned up after a recovery/recoverycheck job. The subsequent recovery check fails due to stale data left over from the previous recovery job.
This is resolved with an upgrade to Cyber Recovery version 19.20.0.2 or higher.
