Cause

This error can occur when an unsupported upgrade is attempted. Some upgrades require upgrading to a specific version and then upgrading again to the final version.The error message is shown as the encryption keys are not available to decrypt the upgrade package.

Resolution

Some Unity OE upgrades cannot be done directly and require intermediate upgrade steps.This table describes the valid upgrade paths.Unity systems running versions older than 5.1 must upgrade to 5.4.1 before upgrading to version 5.5.
