Symptoms

DDMC 8.3 and 8.4 allow managed-systems that do not support Smart Scale Services, but they cannot be added to new or existing data centers.

Cause

DDMC 8.3 and 8.4 exclude systems that do not support Smart Scale Services from the list of available systems for data center creation and editing. However, the expected behavior is to include non-Smart Scale models in this list.

Resolution

A workaround is available to allow systems that do not support Smart Scale Services in a DDMC data center. Contact your contracted support provider to apply the workaround. The permanent fix is available in DDMC 8.5. Note: Smart Scale is deprecated as of DDMC 8.6.
