Unable to aggregate a group of ports in a Dell Unity array for iSCSI block access.
Link aggregation can only be used for NAS server, file replication, and file import interfaces. You cannot aggregate Ethernet ports that have iSCSI configured.
For high availability (HA) in iSCSI block access, creating iSCSI interfaces on both Storage Processors (SPs) is a common practice to ensure redundancy. This setup helps in maintaining continuous access to storage resources even if one of the SPs experiences a failure. Recall that Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) is not supported for iSCSI block access. This means that Ethernet ports with iSCSI configured cannot be aggregated. For detailed information and configuration guidelines, the Dell Unity Family Configuring High Availability Version 5.x (updated May 2023) document is recommended.
