You may experience the following Window Hello Facial recognition problem If you own one of these Dell Qualcomm laptops. You may be unable to enroll your face using the Windows Hello configuration settings. The following Microsoft article takes you through how to setup Windows Hello on a laptop running Windows 11: Configure Windows Hello It is during the setup of facial recognition, that a problem occurs. The scan of your face stops and you get the following error message and cannot continue any further: "Make sure your face is centered in the frame." Affected Platforms: Inspiron 14 5441 laptop Inspiron 14 Plus 7441 laptop Latitude 5455 laptop Latitude 7455 laptop
This is due to the issue with the Qualcomm camera driver and light settings. The driver requires a higher level of environmental light available to work correctly.
Note: You must have administrator rights on your laptop to make any operating system changes or update any software. You can increase the available natural or artificial lighting in your environment to increase the probability of the Face setup working. It can also benefit you during the sign in process where you are using your face ID to log in to your laptop. However, the Dell driver team has released the following camera updates to resolve this problem: Table.1: Camera Update Driver Version.
