AW2723DF monitor may not display a high refresh rate of 280 Hz when using DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0. Affected Monitor: Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor AW2723DF
The AW2723DF monitor only supports a 280 Hz refresh rate when using DisplayPort 1.4 with overclock. The default setting of overclock is off. Supported refresh rates are: 48 Hz to 144 Hz - HDMI 2.0 (Default Setting)48 Hz to 240 Hz - DisplayPort 1.4 (Default Setting)48 Hz to 280 Hz - DisplayPort 1.4 with overclock feature enabled in On-Screen Display (OSD) menu
Use a DisplayPort 1.4 cable and turn on overclock in the OSD Menu. Note: Enabling the overclock feature may cause screen flickering or abnormal display. To reduce such effects, set the feature to off. Ensure the DisplayPort cable is connected firmly between monitor and computer. Use the joystick at the bottom of the monitor to open OSD. Use the joystick to select Menu or , then press joystick to open OSD menu.Ensure that the Input Source is set to DP. Go to Game, Set Overclock to 280 Hz. Press the joystick again to confirm.
