In the iDRAC9 UI, a RAC0508: An unexpected error has occurred error may be displayed. In the Lifecycle event log, a SRV009: There was an issue retrieving System information for Support Assist message may be logged.
This issue occurs only occasionally using the UI interface. Other interfaces like RACADM and Redfish do not experience this issue.
Once the issue occurs, users may try the following options. Retry the log collection from the UI after some time Collect the logs using RACADM or Redfish API No hardware must be replaced for this issue. A firmware fix is available in the iDRAC9 firmware version: 7.00.30.00. The error RAC0508: An unexpected error has occurred is a generic error code which is returned for various other failures, which this article does not cover. Note: As 14G is EOL, there will be no fixes for this issue on 14G platforms. In case you encounter this error, please use the other interfaces mentioned above.
