There are possible causes for this: Drive LEDs flash more frequently for 005052922 / 005052920 / 005053076 than for 005053705 / 005053703 under the same conditions and drive operations. Depending on the current capacity utilisation of the array at the point that the new drives are installed, there may be a higher percentage of data initially being written to the new drives. This can result in a far higher percentage of reads for hot data coming from the additional drives. Read IOs will not wear out the SSDs and this effect will automatically be reduced over time as the data is redistributed over all SSDs.
