The NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) solution is configured with the vProxy Appliance. The nsrvproxy_mgmt redeploy command-line utility fails to upgrade the vProxy appliance with: 160859:nsrvproxy_mgmt: vProxy management job started with CLI: 'nsrvproxy_mgmt redeploy -h [VPROXY_NAME] -z **** -f ' 161335:nsrvproxy_mgmt: Starting '[VPROXY_NAME]' vProxy redeployment on '[VCENTER_NAME]' vCenter. Either an error occured or Visd was unable to process request in expected time. . 161319:nsrvproxy_mgmt: vProxy management job completed with errors. The nsrvproxy_mgmt session log under the /nsr/logs/adhoc/nsrvproxy_mgmt directory shows: YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS-TZ INFO: [@(#) Build number: 127] Connected to session on vCenter '[VCENTER_NAME]' Version '6.7.0 build-14070654, API:6.7.2', Uuid:E35A030D-2B1B-467F-8201-C2B3AC0E83D1. YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:SS-TZ INFO: [@(#) Build number: 127] Disconnected from session on vCenter '[VCENTER_NAME]'. The NetWorker Server can properly resolve the vProxy appliance (short name, FQDN, IP address) and the vProxy appliance virtual machine is powered on in the VMware vSphere environment.
The exact cause is not known; however, the issue appears to be related with the vProxy Guest operating system communication with its VMTools.
Workaround: Restart the vProxy appliance virtual machine Guest operating system in the VMware vSphere environment and rerun the nsrvproxy_mgmt redeploy command from the NetWorker Server.
