Following reboot of SDC, the ./drv_cfg --query_mdm reports 0 MDMs retrieved. The customer has to manually re-add using the below procedure. cd /opt/emc/scaleio/sdc/bin/./drv_cfg --add_mdm --ip <MDM_IP_ADDRESS_LIST> ./drv_cfg --query_mdm (Retrieved 1 MDM(s)) The --add_mdm is not persistent following a reboot.
The below flag was not added to the --add_mdm command. --file <CONFIG_FILE_NAME> Name of the configuration file to which the MDM information should be written.
To make the change persistent, use the --file parameter. /opt/emc/scaleio/sdc/bin/drv_cfg --add_mdm --ip <MDM_IP_ADDRESS_LIST --file /etc/emc/scaleio/drv_cfg.txt The change was persistent upon adding the parameter following a reboot.
