Issue was first identified on a C8300 with 8GB of DRAM rynning version 17.12.4 No special trigger was identified to explain why the memory is consumed under VS_OPER_DB.
The only temporary workaround is to reload the device to free the leaked memory.
If you suspect you are hitting this defect, collect an admin-tech file from the device and open a ticket with TAC for further troubleshooting assistance before rebooting the device to free the memory.
