IOS-XE device running 17.9.5a may observe an iosd crash due to a low memory
ReloadReason=Critical software exception, check bootflash:threshold_lowmem_info *Conditions:* Crash occur due to filled buffers (~1M). These buffers contain PPP echoes requests(as per the buffer packet capture). The packets found in the small buffers were PPP over L2TPv3.
Do a reset and reload, change transport to offline.
