In old versions like GRUB 2.0 in upgrades or restarts GRUB does not pup-up (example 7.3.2, but after upgrading with 7.9.2, GRUB gets also autoupgraded to GRUB 2.04, this version pup-ups right after the upgrade or router reloads thru console connection, if there is noise or any key is inputted before 10 seconds GRUB count down, the upgrade/reload is place on hold until user hits ENTER Key on keyboard.
Router reload or been upgraded, versions like 7.9.2 run GRUB 2.04, this has a 10 seconds count down, if any key is input on the console before reaching 0, upgrade/reload stops and wont continue until user hits enter. This could lead to outage if reload/upgrade was initiated remotely, until end users hits enter or manage to get stable console connection. ------------Cisco Secure Boot: End ------------ Welcome to GRUB! error: cannot read variable. error: cannot read variable. error: no such device: ((hd0,gpt4)/EFI/BOOT)/EFI/BOOT/grub.cfg.
