- Ports entering an error-disabled state due to Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) guard activation, even when no switching loop is present. - The switch may incorrectly display itself as a Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) neighbor on the affected ports. - Issue affects groups of eight ports.
- The issue is specific to Line Card (LC) model C9400-LC-48U with hardware revisions between 1.1 and 3.0. It is not observed in hardware revision 1.0 or revisions 3.0 and above. - The problem may randomly occur during switch boot-up. - Dual supervisor configuration is present.
- Physically re-seat the line card. - Reset the line card using the Command-Line Interface (CLI) command: "hw-module subslot /0 oir power-cycle".
- The issue occurs only during boot-up. Performing a Line Card Online Insertion and Removal (OIR) after boot-up does not trigger the issue.
