Symptom

- High memory error messages observed: %PLATFORM-3-ELEMENT_CRITICAL: Switch : smand: : Used Memory value 99% exceeds critical level 90 - Low memory condition observed at kernel level.

Conditions

- First found in Catalyst9k devices. First seen in stackwise mode. - We observed high memory utilization in the standby device at the kernel level, specifically due to slab memory management mechanism - From shell level we could observed the "dentry" and "kmalloc-rcl-64" counters increase. Contact TAC if you suspect you are hitting this issue.
