Symptom

Normally, when we use NXAPI-CLI to push following config, the vlan and SVI will not be deleted as it is combined with config-profile. However, when we push the configuration via NXAPI-REST or RESTCONF(yang), the VLAN and SVI will be removed. We understand that this is how NXAPI-REST and RESTCONF is designed as it can interact with DME directly and it will bypass the CLI logic and sequence. we opened this enhancement DDTS to confirm if it is possible to prevent config deletion when config is binding with config-profile as customer can push the config by mistake and there is no way to protect the config. no vlan 222 no interface-vlan 222 ======================== N9K switch configuration: feature nxapi nxapi http port 80 configure terminal configure profile API_TEST vlan 222 name test-222 vlan 223 name test-223 interface Vlan222 no shutdown no ip redirects ip address 222.222.222.1/24 configure terminal apply profile API_TEST
