Link flaps on 10G SFPs on Cat9200L uplink ports when peer is specific Nexus 9K devices (ie. N9K-C93180YC-EX and N9K-C93180YC-FX). Cat9200L (V02/V03) -------------10G--------- Nexus 9K The Link recovers on it's own within 3-4 sec. Reload/ Power cycle/ SFP OIR will not resolve the problem. This is not a problem with hardware be it switch, SFP, patch cable etc.
Flapping behavior is being reported when 10G SFPs such as 10G SR/LR/CU are used. Flap can occur any time with no definite time interval. Issue may be seen with C9200L with releases such as 17.3.3, 17.3.4, 17.3.5, 17.6.3 etc or earlier releases.
No absolute workaround to sort the problem. Please note the following for complete fix, following are must... (a) To have the fix from C9200L platform from this defect. And... (b) It requires N9K to implement a interface level CLI for all 10G SFP variant (except 10G SR SFP) ie. "link active-jitter-management". (Note that effect of this CLI is available in N9K platform by default from 10.2.4 release only for 10G-SR SFP)
This is a unique case of interoperability on 10G link between C9200L and N9K devices (ie. N9K-C93180YC-EX and N9K-C93180YC-FX. The fix primarily deals with jitter management on the 10G link.
