Symptom

Nexus 9000 TOR switches running code previous to 9.3.8 may show the following in the system logging and show environment output: %PLATFORM-0-MOD_TEMPMAJALRM: Module-1 reported Major temperature alarm. Sensor=1 Temperature=16 MajThreshold=70 <<<<16c seen in most cases PLATFORM-0-SYS_SHUTDOWN: System shutdown in 120 seconds due to major temperature alarm PLATFORM-0-SYS_SHUTDOWN: System shutdown in 110 seconds due to major temperature alarm sensor 0 temperature NA <<< sensor 0 temperature 0 <<< sensor 2 temperature 40 sensor 2 temperature 38 sensor 2 temperature 40 sensor 2 temperature 38 sensor 0 temperature -5 <<<

Conditions

Nexus 900 TOR running revisions lower than 9.3.8.bin

Workaround

In every instance this has been seen thus far, the switch recovers without reloading due to the warnings thrown. This is a cosmetic issue.
