Symptom
Wireless clients fail to connect - traces show:
Delete client. Processing delete request, delete reason: 112, CO_CLIENT_DELETE_REASON_EXCLUDE_IP_THEFT
Conditions
This is seen in a network design using a 9800 wireless controller, where multiple clients have the same IP address (this can be a valid configuration, for example, when using some vendors' EoGRE WAGs, which assign the same address to all clients.) The failures can be seen even when "no wireless wps client-exclusion ip-theft" and "no ip mac-binding" are configured.
Further Problem Description
This problem is not seen when using an AireOS controller.
In 17.7.1 and above, multiple clients (centrally switched or locally switched) can connect, if "no ip mac-binding" is configured on the wireless policy.
