A Nexus 9000 switch may occasionally generate or receive an ARP Request that refreshes an existing ARP entry. This ARP Request packet is a unicast packet with a destination MAC address of another device on the network. However, this ARP Request packet is flooded out of all interfaces carrying the relevant VLAN as if it were a normal broadcast ARP Request packet.
1. Nexus 9000 switch with at least one up/up SVI. 2. Unicast ARP Request packets are observed on connected devices that do not own the destination MAC address.
There is no known workaround for this issue at this time.
