Symptom

SSH from a XR router running 6.5.3 to Huawei device generates the following error and fails to connect due to signature validation failure. RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:2019 Jun 26 11:50:22.083 NZST: ssh_xr[65921]: %SECURITY-SSHD-3-ERR_GENERAL : Signature validate failed with ECDSA Nist256

Conditions

The issue is seen only with Huawei routers. - Issue is seen only with ECDSA hostkey algorithms

Workaround

- SSH to Huawei router will work if the host-key algorithm is RSA or DSA.
