show commands and ios commands throwing error "No connections to Shell Manager available for processing the command"
Execution of "show install" CLI done periodically on the device over a period, leaves some stale entries affecting future execution depending on match with stale pid entries.
On HA system, doing switchover, would restore the shell access as it would result in change in active and standby would be reloaded as a part of switchover, clearing up the issue at original active.
If the bug happens, you need a HA system. If not, reload is the way to recover the box.
