Description

Symptom

When router sends RTP via multicast dial-peer, RTP traffic is being marked with DSCP 0 instead of ef.

Conditions

Use ISR4000 series routers for hoot-n-holler: dial-peer voice voip destination-pattern session protocol multicast session target ipv4:239.X.X.X: voice-class permanent codec g711ulaw vad aggressive !

Workaround

Configure policy-map at interface level to mark RTP traffic with DSCP ef. ip access-list extended voice-rtp permit udp any any range 8000-48198 ! class-map match-any VOICE match access-group name voice-rtp ! policy-map OFFICE-QOS class VOICE set dscp ef !
