Symptom

CWMP fails with upgrade due to vstack command.

Conditions

As part of security hardening, newer Cisco IOS/IOS-XE versions display the state of Smart Install feature via either: vstack (when enabled) no vstack (when disabled) In previous versions the state of Smart Install was only visible via the show vstack config command if enabled, and would show no vstack if the admin had disabled it in the running configuration. This has caused an issue with CWMP where configuration rollback will be aborted with an error: Rollback aborted after 5 passes

Workaround

If the configuration for the rollback already has present no vstack this issue would not be hit. Add either: vstack (if using Smart Install) no vstack (if not using Smart Install) to the configuration files being used in the rollback.
