Description

Symptom

IPSec SAs may get out of sync with IKEv2 IPv6 GRE. When it happens, traffic fail to go through some tunnels. SPI recovery mechanism fails to bring tunnels back so until IPSec SA rekey happens so no traffic is passing over such tunnels.

Conditions

large scale IPv6 IKEv2 GRE deployments
