Description

Symptom

Large ACL and NAT configurations can cause compilation to take a significant amount of time. During compilation the CPU might be elevated and overall performance might be reduced.

Conditions

A significantly large ACL or NAT configuration could trigger the problem. To view the size of the ACL configuration, issue 'show access-list | include element' to see how large the ACLs expand to.

Workaround

The code change implemented with this bug fix drastically speeds up compilation time for the ACL and NAT tables.
