Symptom

ASA stops sending logs to the FTP Server randomly.

Conditions

This only affects logging on the ASA when ftp-bufferwrap is configured. The following configurations are necessary: logging ftp-bufferwrap logging ftp-server {Server-IP}{Dir} {Username} {Password} This issue occurs randomly. Examining a packet capture will show that the ASA can successfully establish the FTP Control connection but never initiates the FTP Data connection

Workaround

Reloading the ASA resolves the issue until the next event.
