The router displays high CPU usage due to NBAR.
This symptom occurs due to RTP traffic.
Replace "protocol rtp" with ACL in match statement.
It is also seen that if the 'protocol rtp audio' is configured under a class-map with the policy map defined under the interface, the CPU utilized will remain even if the policy-map is removed from the interface. It was only until the "no match protocol rtp audio" was removed from the class-map where this stabilized the router's CPU utilization.
