Description

Symptom

Router running 12.2(33)SRB1 shows the following errors on the logs: %TCP-6-BADAUTH: No MD5 digest from X(Z) to Y(646) (RST)

Conditions

Half closed LDP / TCP sessions causing this problem as seen with 'sh tcp brief | i FINWAIT '

Workaround

Problem solved with: clear tcp tcb

Further Problem Description

Exact trigger unknown. This is seen when an IOS-XR device is connected with a device running 12.2(33)SRB1. The error messages were seen on router running 12.2(33)SRB1. Problem was caused by 'half closed' LDP/TCP session.
