A 900.xx firmware error follows the connection of the printer to certain networks; these networks were identified to have transmission frames containing over 1500-byte packets which exceeds the limit set by the IEEE 802.3 standard. If the 900 message returns: Disconnect the printer from the network by unplugging the ethernet cable. Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, then turn it on again. Clear all jobs from both the printer and computer print queue. Print the menu settings page for device setting reference. Update the printer firmware to the latest version available. Reconnect the printer to the network by plugging the ethernet cable back in. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
