Overview
Fault Code 016-772 "Scan Data Repository Failure" or "DNS Server un-sets up in SMTP" occurs when the device is unable to resolve the hostname of the SMTP server over DNS, or the DNS Server is not configured properly on the device.
Make Sure the SMTP (E-mail) Server is Configured Correctly
Configure the E-mail Feature Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)
Configure SMTP (E-mail) Server Settings Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)
Confirm the Device is using the Correct TCP/IP and DNS Configuration
Printer Must Have 100.100.100.101 Address When Connected to EFI Fiery in a Single IP Configuration
Modify the DNS Settings
Configure DNS Settings in CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) via the Fiery Controller in Single IP Configuration
Configure or Modify DNS (Dynamic Domain Name ) / DDNS Settings
Gateway Address in CentreWare Information Services (CWIS) must point to EFI Fiery in Single IP Configuration
Use Google DNS Servers as Secondary DNS on Centreware Internet Services (CWIS)
Use the IP Address of the SMTP Server Instead of the Host Name
Proper Sequence to Power the Printer and Print Server Off and On
Power Off (Reboot, Restart, or Shut Down) the EFI Fiery Color Server
