The paper repeatedly jams, and the printer posts a 231.xx or 232.xx error when it tries to print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing). Ensure the paper you are using is supported See Supported Paper Sizes, Types and Weights . Ensure the printer is on a flat, level surface An uneven surface may result is paper jams, misfeeds, or paper skew. Open all printer doors and remove the paper tray Check the paper path, tray, and inside the manual feed slot and remove any paper or debris Check for any damaged sensors or rollers. Make sure that the paper is properly loaded in the tray or manual feeder Ensure the tray is correctly installed. From the control panel, navigate to: Settings > Paper > Tray Configuration > Paper Size/Type and ensure the setting matches the paper loaded. Make sure that the paper loaded is supported and free of damage and defects Check for paper curl by printing on both sides of the paper and adjust the Texture and Weight to correct for media handling issues. Load paper from a fresh ream Paper absorbs moisture due to high humidity Store paper in its original wrapper until you are ready to use it. Make sure that the tray guides are free of obstructions Check the paper guides for improper size settings or damage Verify if the tray insert is free of damage Replace if necessary. Attempt to isolate issue to a particular tray If printing from a different tray corrects the issue, it may be an issue with the pick roller or the tray Clean or replace if required. If issue persists, contact support for assistance.
